AMBUCYCLE BALI

by Anggita Sari Dewi, B. Bus

The New Future of Emergency Response

There are many factors contribute to the survival rate of a patient, including the arrival time of a medical team to the patient’s location. However, in a situation where the traffic is heavy or where the patient’s location is hard to reach by cars or ambulance, the arrival time of the medical team could be interfered. Thus, ‘Ambucycle’ has become one of the solutions to overcome the time restraint on medical emergency case.

What is Ambucycle?

Ambucycle Klinik PENTA Medica

According to Starosta (2015), Ambucycle is a medically equipped motorcycle, which was initiated by United Hatzalah, an Israeli organization, which has over 2,500 trained volunteer of Emergency First Responders. Ambucycle has been used to shorten travel time of the medical team to reach the patient’s location, which might increase the survival rate of the patient.

What is Inside the Ambucycle Box?

The Ambucycle team usually completes the box with Vital Signs, Emergency Kit Bag, Portable Monitors, AED, and emergency medicines. However, this depends on the severity of the case. The goal is to get to the location faster, so appropriate stabilization could be given, while waiting for the ambulance to get into the location (if needed).
